Facebook Is Fixing the Thing You Hate Most About Your Profile (Updated)

By Sam Biddle

Timeline is the most beautiful thing to happen to Facebook, but it’s not without its detractors. Complaint numero uno: the double-column layout is confusing, causing users to panic, unable to discern when events in their lives happened. Why are these two things next to each other? Which happened first? Where am I? Who am I??

Your temporal nightmare may soon be over.

Summary: A Dutch filmmaker records the lives of three families, including one he stayed with as an exchange student. In one household, the dad works and the mom stays at home with their kids; in another, a gay couple experiences first-time fatherhood with the Vietnamese child they just adopted; and in the third home a 60-year old man becomes an instant father when he marries a thirtysomething Latina mother. Shot documentary-style. Modern Family won six Emmy Awards, including the one for Outstanding Comedy Series. It also brought home a Peabody Award, Writers Guild Award, Directors Guilds Award and Television Critics Award.
Modern Family Season 4 Episode 4 Summary: Luke wants to quit magic and Phil just can?t seem to accept it. Meanwhile, one of Gloria?s new pregnancy symptoms is snoring and she?s keeping the whole house awake, forcing Jay to take desperate measures; and Mitch and Cam?s household dynamic is put to the test when they decide to swap duties ? Mitch staying at home with Lily while Cam goes off to work at his new job as the music teacher at Luke and Manny?s school.

Schooled? is the first, and funniest, of the two episodes tonight, as Lily (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons) gets her hair pulled by a boy on her first day of kindergarten, and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) overreacts by picking up the boy, pressing him up against the swing set, and giving him a very stern warning about touching his daughter. This leads to the boy?s parents, a lesbian couple, being called in to meet with Cam and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson). In the episode?s best sight gag, Cam and Mitchell explain (to the camera) why gay men and gay women don?t get along, by making a Venn diagram with their arms. It?s a better bit than I can do justice by describing, but it works.

The pre-school story continued hysterically Cam and Mitch explaining why gay men don?t mix with gay women. The child who harmed Lily?s parents turned out to be lesbians. The scene in the house was pretty hysterical as the two couple did their best to get along. As the kids went missing, Cam hilariously stated how the two couples learned to get along with the half of the lesbian couple he wasn?t getting along with.

Lily?s first day in kindergarten is marred by a hair-pulling boy. Cam gets mama-bear syndrome and picks the boy up to verbally reprimand him. To the principal?s office they go ? to meet the boy?s lesbian parents. The two sets of parents don?t get along ? it?s physics: gay men and gay women don?t get along (Mitchell and Cam provided a demonstration to illustrate the reasons). The principal demands the two sets of parents agree to a playdate.

The plot thread even had an emotional beat towards the end when Haley calls her parents during their drive home upon realizing just how little she fits in on the first day, and the scene really punctuated the madcap nature of the scenes that preceded it. Learning to let go is a universal theme, even if saying goodbye at college move-in day isn?t a universal experience.

This episode was a hoot! I truly loved the touching moments with laughs along the way. My farewell sendoff to college did not contain any tears ? did yours? Did you enjoy Haley?s goodbye to Luke and Alex? Did this episode make you feel old? Was Jay/Gloria a little obnoxious in class? Are you going to preorder ?Phil?s-osopy?? ?Modern Family? does what they do best when they have their characters acknowledge flaws and embrace them in their own individual ways, and those moments read more realistic than having a character make a big, bold choice or have some huge revelation every week. The show takes baby-steps, and that pun was intentional.

Obama's pitch to women puts Romney on defense

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - With polls suggesting women voters were shifting their support to Mitt Romney, President Barack Obama made an aggressive pitch to them on Tuesday that yielded awkward moments for the Republican and a favorite new catch phrase on social media.

Obama hit hard on issues such as equal pay for women and contraception and abortion rights in the second of three presidential debates ahead of the November 6 election. The topics did not come up in the first debate on October 3, when Romney outshone the Democratic president.

Romney has gained ground on Obama in opinion polls since the first head-to-head and took the lead in many surveys. Reuters/Ipsos polling data showed the Democrat's support slipping among women, particularly married women.

Fifty-nine percent of married white women backed Romney for president, versus only 30.4 percent who picked Obama, according to data for the week ending October 14. That was a move of around eight points in Romney's favor since before the first debate.

With strong support among women essential to his hopes of winning re-election, Obama devoted much of the second debate toward shoring up their support.

He mentioned the women's health organization Planned Parenthood five times. He stressed that Romney had promised to defund the organization, which provides contraception and abortions, but also basic services like cancer screenings.

Romney hit back by saying that he would help women, and all Americans, by improving the sputtering economy. But the Republican offered fewer specifics on women's issues than Obama and at times seemed to stumble.

"Any ground that Mitt Romney gained over the last week or week and a half, he lost tonight," said Jennifer Lawless, director of the Women and Politics Institute at American University.

"Barack Obama was incredibly strong on appealing to women and casting doubt on Mitt Romney's statements."

One of the night's most memorable moments came when Romney was asked how he would ensure pay equity for women. He answered by recalling how, as governor of Massachusetts, he had been concerned when all of the applicants for his cabinet were men.

"I went to a number of women's groups and said, 'Can you help us find folks,' and they brought us whole binders full of women," Romney said.

Romney's somewhat awkward response lit up social media. The user name @RomneyBinders got its own Twitter account, and attracted more than 31,000 followers less than an hour after the debate ended. The hashtag #bindersfullofwomen was one of the 10 most common on the social media service.

Democrats said Romney's answer seemed to show he had few women in his inner circle, and the candidate did not directly address the pay equality issue.

"I don't think he substantively engaged on this matter that would make a real difference and that is an important issue in the conversation," said Tara McGuinness, executive director of the left-leaning Center for American Progress Action Fund.

Romney also talked about how he had offered flexible hours so his chief of staff could be with her children when they came home from school.

Romney's comments sounded like "they were from 50 years ago," said Christine Williams, a nurse practitioner from Shaker Heights, Ohio, who watched the debate at a viewing party in the crucial swing state.

In contrast, she said, "When Obama talks about that, it makes my soul sing."

ECONOMIC CASE

Romney cast his appeal to women in economic terms, repeatedly saying that millions of women had lost their jobs in the four years Obama has been president.

"There are 3.5 million more women living in poverty today than when the president took office," he said.

"What we can do to help young women and women of all ages is to have a strong economy, so strong that employers are looking to find good employees and bringing them into their workforce, and adapting to a flexible work schedule that gives women the opportunities that they would otherwise not be able to afford," he said.

Obama stressed his support for the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, the first bill he signed into law as president, which guarantees equal pay for women workers. Romney has declined to say whether he supports the law.

Analysts said Obama's performance was likely to stop the loss of support among women voters.

"We'll probably see some movement of women in a more pro-Obama direction after tonight," said Susan Carroll, senior scholar at the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University. "I think some women saw the Obama that they hoped to see and were disappointed not to see the first debate."

Women in a snap poll by the Democratic Lake Research Partners picked Obama as the debate winner by 56-34 percent. Men also gave Obama the victory, but by a narrower 49-43 percent.

Romney strongly disputed an accusation by Obama that he "feels more comfortable having politicians in Washington decide the health-care choices that women are making."

He went out of his way to say: "Every women in America should have access to contraceptives... the president's statement of my policy is wrong."

Obama scored points by talking about his working mother and grandmother, and his children. "I've got two daughters and I want to make sure that they have the same opportunities that anybody's sons have," he said.

Entrepreneurial Lessons From Biz Stone - Small Business Trends

There are few businesses bigger than Twitter, but co-founder Biz Stone recently dished up some excellent advice for small business owners.

While Twitter is now valued in the billions, it was still just a small ?side project? as recently as 2006, and didn?t begin to take off until 2007. So Stone still knows what it feels like to be an entrepreneur betting his future on the fate of a startup.

Speaking this week at the Public Relations Society of America?s International Conference in San Francisco, Stone pointed to passion, creativity, moxie, and a focus on customer service as keys to success for businesses of any size.

Stone recounted the plot of Wim Wenders? movie Wings of Desire, in which an angel was willing to give up immortality just to know what it felt like to be human. The protagonist was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice?death?just to pursue his passion.

Stone likened this to the path of the entrepreneur, who is willing to put everything on the line to pursue his/her passion.

?In order to succeed spectacularly, you need to be willing to fail spectacularly,? Stone told the audience. ?That?s the entrepreneurial spirit.?

Of course, he added, that doesn?t necessarily involve killing yourself.

Passion alone doesn?t cut it. Success requires hard work and a willingness to create opportunities out of thin air.

Stone told the story of his efforts to make a varsity sports team in high school. He went out for football and baseball, but found the rules way too confusing. Not having played organized sports as a kid, he was well behind the other guys going out for the team, and quit.

He then did some research and thought lacrosse might be a great game for him to play. Unfortunately, his high school didn?t have a lacrosse team. He petitioned his school to start one, and the powers that be told him if he could put a team together, then they would support a club team. Stone, through sheer power of will, found enough students willing to play, organized a team, and turned out to be an excellent lacrosse player.

?I figured if everybody was as clueless as I was, then it would be an even playing field,? he said.

Stone did the same thing with his first job. During college, he worked for the publisher, Little Brown, where his main responsibility as a gofer was ?moving boxes around.? ?At the time, the Little Brown design team was fairly clueless as to how to use Mac computers for designing, and Stone, a longtime Mac user, knew he could do a better job than the designers currently on the payroll.

One day, the entire design team went out to lunch and Stone jumped on the opportunity. He logged into one of the designer?s computers and used his skills to design a book cover.? Stone slipped in his design with the other proposed designs and his was ultimately chosen. When the head of the department asked who had done the design, Stone raised his hand.

?The box boy?? the boss asked incredulously. Immediately thereafter, Stone was offered a job as a designer.

?The real takeaway is that opportunity can be manufactured,? Stone said. ?Circumstances can be arranged by you.?

Another key for small businesses, Stone said, is the need to be focused on customer service. Twitter hired its first head of customer service when there were only 16 employees. It would be another three years before they hired their first salesperson.

When using Twitter as a customer relations tool, Stone advised businesses to spend ?a good amount of time? listening to what people are saying about your brand.

?Look what?s being said about you before you begin to respond,? he advised. A simple Twitter search of your brand or your executives, Stone said, can give you a good feel for the sentiment about your brand.

The final, and perhaps most important lesson for entrepreneurs is that you have to love what you are doing or else you are wasting your time.

?If I was working at a job I didn?t feel was worthwhile I wouldn?t be happy, and eventually I?d do a bad job,? he said.

Oakland sues U.S. government to defend pot dispensary in city

(Reuters) - The city of Oakland has sued to block U.S. authorities from closing down a prominent medical marijuana dispensary that is featured on a reality television show, escalating a long-running conflict with the federal government over pot.

The lawsuit by Oakland's city attorney asks a federal judge to declare as unlawful federal government attempts to close down Harborside Health Center (http://www.harborsidehealthcenter.com/), which is featured in the Discovery Channel reality show "Weed Wars."

The action, filed on Wednesday in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, follows a forfeiture action against the property where the dispensary is situated that was filed in July by the U.S. Attorney's office, officials said.

"This lawsuit is about protecting the rights of legitimate medical patients," Oakland City Attorney Barbara Parker said in a statement.

"I am deeply dismayed that the federal government would seek to deny these rights and deprive thousands of seriously ill Californians of access to safe, affordable and effective medicine," she said.

The dispute marks the latest clash between the federal government, which holds that pot is an illegal drug, and local officials in California, where voters in 1996 made the state the first in the nation to allow cannabis as medicine. A total of 17 states now allow it, including Colorado, Oregon and Washington state.

Oakland officials are not seeking damages in the lawsuit, which names as defendants Melinda Haag, the U.S. Attorney for the district, and Attorney General Eric Holder. A representative for Haag could not be reached for comment.

Oakland officials in the past have been openly critical of tough federal action against medical marijuana operations, but the filing of a lawsuit represents the city's most confrontational stance to date.

Medical marijuana dispensaries -- which sometimes offer massages and other non-medical services, though some only dispense marijuana -- are issued permits by the city of Oakland, perhaps California's most tolerant municipality when it comes to medical pot. In 2010, the city adopted plans to regulate large-scale cannabis farms, then backed off under threat from the federal government.

The city's lawsuit against the federal government is not completely unprecedented. About a decade ago, the city and county of Santa Cruz in northern California along with a local medical marijuana collective sued the federal government after a raid of that collective, said Tamar Todd, a senior staff attorney with the Drug Policy Alliance.

NEW YORK (AP) ? The highest-paid player in baseball could only sit and watch when Raul Ibanez pinch hit for him and tied the game with a bottom-of-the-ninth home run.

Alex Rodriguez had another good view from the dugout three innings later when Ibanez homered to win it.

Saved by manager Joe Girardi's gutsy move ? and Ibanez's big swings ? the New York Yankees rallied for a stunning 3-2 win in the 12th over the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday night for a 2-1 lead in their best-of-five AL division series.

"You're going to be asked a lot of questions if it doesn't work," Girardi said.

The slumping Rodriguez, among the greatest power hitters in history, offered no complaint, telling Girardi: "Joe, you gotta do exactly what you gotta do."

"Maybe 10 years ago I would have reacted in a much different way," A-Rod said.

Ibanez then stepped up and hit a tying, solo shot to right-center with one out in the ninth off major league saves leader Jim Johnson to make it 2-all.

Yankees fans had been howling this week for Girardi to drop Rodriguez out of the No. 3 spot in the batting order. But Girardi was reluctant to move his fading slugger down in the lineup.

Until he took him all the way out.

"You have to make some decisions sometimes that are tough decisions. I just had a gut feeling," Girardi said.

Rodriguez has 647 career home runs ? he's chasing the all-time record of 762 by Barry Bonds ? and is making $29 million this year. But was just 1 for 12 with no RBIs and seven strikeouts in this series when Girardi pulled him.

"It kind of caught me off-guard, hitting for a guy who's half-a-billionaire," Orioles center fielder Adam Jones said.

It was the first time Rodriguez had ever been pinch-hit for in a postseason game, according to STATS LLC.

And it worked.

Rodriguez immediately turned to injured Yankees closer Mariano Rivera, raised one arm, then both arms and traded high-fives with his star teammate. When Ibanez returned to the bench, Rodriguez was the first player to greet him.

"He said great job. A-Rod is a great teammate and great team player," Ibanez said. "He's the first one on the top step congratulating you. It's about winning. It's about the Yankees and continuing."

Ibanez remained in the game and connected on the first pitch from Brian Matusz in the 12th.

Ibanez became the first player to homer twice in a postseason game in which he didn't start, STATS said.

Phil Hughes will try to clinch it for the Yankees on Thursday night in Game 4. Joe Saunders will start for Baltimore.

Baltimore had won 16 straight extra-inning games, and had been 76-0 when leading after seven, before the Yankees stung them.

"It was a great experience. We do it as a team. We stay after it," Ibanez said. "I'm blessed to come up and have the opportunity like that. We do it together. it's about a team and about winning."

The brash, young Orioles appeared poised to move within a win of their first trip to the AL championship series since 1997 before the Yankees' comeback.

Ibanez hit a 1-0 pitch into the seats in the ninth, setting off a raucous celebration in what had been a demoralized Yankee Stadium crowd.

After their 10-game July lead was cut to zero in early September, the Yankees repelled every Orioles charge. The teams were tied 10 times in the final month but New York ended up atop the division.

New York won the opener in Baltimore scoring five runs in the ninth off Johnson. The Orioles won Game 2 and rode Miguel Gonzalez's pretty performance to a 2-1 lead in the ninth.

But the Yankees limited Baltimore to one hit after 20-year-old Manny Machado homered in the fifth. Ryan Flaherty homered earlier for the Orioles.

Robert Andino was doubled off second after leading off the Baltimore ninth with a single and advancing on a sacrifice.

Boone Logan got one out in relief of Hiroki Kuroda, who gave up two solo homers in 8 1-3 innings. Closer Rafael Soriano pitched 1 1-3 innings and David Robertson went two, finishing off his outing by bumping into and tagging Andino to end the top of the 12th.

Derek Jeter tied the score with an RBI triple in the third for the Yankees. Jeter, limping after fouling a ball off his foot, came out after eight innings. He says we will be able to play Thursday.

NOTES: Rivera threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

LIFE AS I SEE IT: BACK FROM HOLIDAYS

I cant believe its been a week since I last came here to blog. I've had a wonderful mini holiday taking my boy to Port Lincoln where a dear friend now lives.?We had?a short holiday with her family while Peter stayed at home and held the fort at work.

?

You may recall from my last post that my diet and training had gone a little wonky due to a change in routine and me feeling quite tired from lots of running and leg training. My last post was like my recommitment to my longer term goals of getting into awesome shape for my 50th birthday next year. However holiday time is not the best time to aim for significant inroads into such a goal so?I pretty much decided to go with the flow for a few days and then get stuck back in on my return.

?

Honestly, the break was fantastic. I ate fruit toast with butter for breakfast. I drank wine and/or champagne every day. There was a hot chip - or 10 - devoured with lunch or as an afternoon snack and the piece de resistance was lunch on the drive home. Mitchell and?I stopped at a country bakery and?I had a cornish pasty with sauce AND an apple crumble cake. OMG - the perfect fusion of white flour, trans fats and sugar galore. My taste buds were jumping for joy for 10 minutes and then I realised that it wasnt actually THAT great and I knew deep down that?I didnt want to keep eating that crap. Sometimes you have to take a step back to propel yourself further forward and thats exactly what Friday felt like for me. Nice indulgence but dont want to keep it up.

?

After doing weight training for three days straight before?I went away I took the rest of the week off except for a leisurely walk on Thursday morning. My lower back and right hip are a bit sore since I'm back into training now at home but I'm hoping to keep it under control through stretching, healthy eating and a positive mindset. This worked before and there's no reason it cant work again.

?

I havent checked in with the MM and if there is a bigger number than last time, then so be it. I know that what I'm doing now will have the numbers heading in the right direction in no time at all. I just need to keep my eye on the bigger picture and keep taking one step at a time towards my goals.

UK, Japan scientists win Nobel for adult stem cell discovery

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Scientists from Britain and Japan shared a Nobel Prize on Monday for the discovery that adult cells can be transformed back into embryo-like stem cells that may one day regrow tissue in damaged brains, hearts or other organs.

John Gurdon, 79, of the Gurdon Institute in Cambridge, Britain and Shinya Yamanaka, 50, of Kyoto University in Japan, discovered ways to create tissue that would act like embryonic cells, without the need to collect the cells from embryos.

They share the $1.2 million Nobel Prize for Medicine, for work Gurdon began 50 years ago and Yamanaka capped with a 2006 experiment that transformed the field of "regenerative medicine" - the search for ways to cure disease by growing healthy tissue.

"These groundbreaking discoveries have completely changed our view of the development and specialization of cells," the Nobel Assembly at Stockholm's Karolinska Institute said.

All of the body starts as stem cells, before developing into tissue like skin, blood, nerves, muscle and bone. The big hope is that stem cells can grow to replace damaged tissue in cases from spinal cord injuries to Parkinson's disease.

Scientists once thought it was impossible to turn adult tissue back into stem cells. That meant new stem cells could only be created by taking them from embryos, which raised ethical objections that led to research bans in some countries.

As far back as 1962 Gurdon became the first scientist to clone an animal, making a healthy tadpole from the egg of a frog with DNA from another tadpole's intestinal cell. That showed that developed cells carry the information to make every cell in the body - decades before other scientists made world headlines by cloning the first mammal from adult DNA, Dolly the sheep.

More than 40 years later, Yamanaka produced mouse stem cells from adult mouse skin cells by inserting a small number of genes. His breakthrough effectively showed that the development that takes place in adult tissue could be reversed, turning adult tissue back into cells that behave like embryos.

Stem cells created from adult tissue are known as "induced pluripotency stem cells", or iPS cells. Because patients may one day be treated with stem cells from their own tissue, their bodies might be less likely to reject them.

"The eventual aim is to provide replacement cells of all kinds," Gurdon's institute explains on its website.

"We would like to be able to find a way of obtaining spare heart or brain cells from skin or blood cells. The important point is that the replacement cells need to be from the same individual, to avoid problems of rejection and hence of the need for immunosuppression."

In just six years, Yamanaka's paper has already been cited more than 4,000 times in other scientists' work.

In a news conference in Japan, he thanked his team of young researchers: "My joy is very great. But I feel a grave sense of responsibility as well."

Gurdon spoke of his own unlikely career as a young man who loved science but was steered away from it at school, only to take it up again at university.

He still keeps an old school report in a frame on his desk: "I believe he has ideas about becoming a scientist... This is quite ridiculous," his teacher wrote. "It would be a sheer waste of time, both on his part and of those who have to teach him."

EARLY STAGES

The science of iPS cells is still in early stages. Among concerns is the fear that implanted cells could grow out of control and develop into tumors.

Some scientists say stem cells from embryos may prove more useful against disease than iPS cells, and the ethics of working with embryos should be defended.

Nevertheless, since Yamanaka published his findings the discoveries have already produced advances. The techniques are being used to grow cells in laboratories to study disease, the chairman of the awards committee, Urban Lendahl, told Reuters.

"You can't take out a large part of the heart or the brain or so to study this, but now you can take a cell from, for example, the skin of the patient, reprogramme it, return it to a pluripotent state, and then grow it in a laboratory," he said.

"The second thing is for further ahead. If you can grow different cell types from a cell from a human, you might - in theory for now but in future hopefully - be able to return cells where cells have been lost."

Thomas Perlmann, Nobel Committee member and professor of Molecular Development Biology at the Karolinska Institute said: "Thanks to these two scientists, we know now that development is not strictly a one-way street."

"There is lot of promise and excitement, and difficult disorders such as neurodegenerative disorders, like perhaps Alzheimer's and, more likely, Parkinson's disease, are very interesting targets."

For now, both men said their scientific work continues.

Asked why he still keeps his schoolteacher's discouraging report, Gurdon said: "When you're having problems, like when an experiment doesn't work - which often happens - it's nice to remind yourself that perhaps after all you're not so good at this job and the schoolmaster may have been right."

UCLA Faculty Association: More Online Entrepreneurialism: MBA ...

From the San Francisco Chronicle today:

For years, applicants looking to read examples of admissions essays submitted to top business schools could buy books with such names as "101 Business School (MBA) Essays That Made a Difference" or "65 Successful?Harvard Business School?Application Essays." The books promised readers an inside look at what admissions officers were looking for, along with elements of a successful business school?essay.?The latest player is a new essay service and website called Wordprom.com, founded by MBA graduates Gili and Ori Elkin, who are looking to turn that old-fashioned model on its head -and raising the hackles of B-school admissions?officers...

The website has emerged at a time when many business schools are cracking down on plagiarism in admissions essays - including some schools with essays listed on Wordprom.com. For example, UCLA's?Anderson School of Management?rejected 52 MBA applicants last year after the school discovered plagiarism in admissions essays by using Turnitin for Admissions, an antiplagiarism database service that compares student essays with a wide collection of writings. Wordprom currently has six Anderson essays posted for?sale...

Microsoft set to get back in the news business with relaunched MSN

Microsoft set to get back in the news business with relaunched MSN

Microsoft isn't exactly a stranger to the news business. It founded Slate Magazine way back in 1996 as part of its then still-nascent MSN website, and it partnered with NBC that same year on the MSNBC cable news network. While it's since sold off both Slate and its stake in MSNBC, it looks like the company is now taking another big swing at producing its own news operation. As Reuters reports, Microsoft is making "big, multi-million dollar investment" to create what is being described as a "decent-sized media operation," one that will be a part of the new-look MSN that the company has also announced today. Details remain light beyond that, but Reuters says the new MSN will still "chiefly aggregate news" from traditional sources like Reuters and the AP in addition to producing its own content. As for that new MSN itself, it's unsurprisingly built with tablets (and Windows 8, specifically) in mind, with a design that's tailored for full-screen use and touch input. Its launch wil coincide with Windows 8's debut on October 26th, but you can get an early look at the link below and in the video after the break.

Window Cleaning Tips and Tools From a Window Cleaner ? #13 ...

A good tip is to use microfiber cloths. It seems window cleaners can never get away from using the regular cloths either. I use a lot of the regular white cotton cloths as well. That way I don?t have to use my microfiber cloths for everything and they seem to last longer.

Another good thing about microfiber cloths is that they come in so many different colors. A good advantage is everybody on the window cleaning crew gets their own color microfiber cloths. That way we know which ones belong to each person on the crew.

The same coding method is used with our tools. We color code them so we know which tools belong to each person.

It is also amazing that there are so many different types of tools we use today for cleaning. Along with window cleaning, our company becomes involved in many other types of cleaning such as rain gutter cleaning, roof cleaning, concrete cleaning, and oil removal.

We use pressure washers all the time. Just think! With the new extension poles, we can clean heights 40 or 50 feet high and even higher! What about the water fed poles and de-ionized water? With some of the new poles, you can reach heights you only dreamed of attaining.

The pressure washing equipment is continually being improved as well.

Using the new heat or diesel pressure washers and surface cleaners, it is now easy to clean even oil, tar, and gum.

Well, I guess I am excited to say I am learning more everyday. Oh well, that?s enough for now.
